Eleni Kapsokoli holds a post-doctoral degree from the Department of International and European Studies at the University of Piraeus, focusing on “The Securitization of Digital Electoral Processes: The Case of the European Union” in 2025. In 2022, she completed her PhD on Islamic cyberterrorism at the same department. She holds a bachelor’s degree in “Political Science and Public Administration” from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a master’s degree in “International Relations and Strategic Studies” from the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences.

Her primary research interests encompass international relations, international security, European security and defense, strategy, terrorism, cyberterrorism, hybrid threats, cybersecurity, disinformation, strategic communication, digital authoritarianism, artificial intelligence, and digital democracy. She has published extensively and participated in numerous conferences and research projects related to these research fields. She is also a PhD alumna of the European Doctoral School on Common Security and Defence Policy. She actively participates in research initiatives at the Laboratory of Intelligence and Cyber-security at the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Piraeus, the Research Institute for European and American Studies (RIEAS), the Council for International Relations – Greece (CfIR-GR), the Foreign Affairs Institute (FAINST), the Institute for National and International Security of Serbia (INIS), and the Institute of Studies for Politics and Democracy (ISPD) of Cyprus.
