Dr. Takashi Hosoda (Ph.D.) is a Japanese international political scientist and security studies scholar living in the Czech Republic. His research focuses on strategic culture, multi-domain hybrid warfare, cognitive domain, military-civil fusion, maritime security, and Japan-European security cooperation.
He served as a Research Assistant at the Japan Institute of International Affairs (2002–2003), a Specially Appointed Researcher at the Embassy of Japan in the Czech Republic (2003–2006), a Lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University (since 2006), an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Intelligence Studies of the University of Defence of the Czech Republic (2023–2025). He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Politics and International Relations, Faculty of Philosophy, University of West Bohemia.
