Dr Monika Wysocka holds doctorate of social sciences in security science, and is the Plenipotentiary for International Exchanges of the Rector-Commandant of the Polish Naval Academy.

For many years, her professional work has been focused on the internationalization of military higher education.

A representative of the PNA in the Consortium of Polish Uniformed Universities “KONSMUND”, as well as in the Initiative for the Exchange of Young Officers (EMILYO), where she works in two working groups dealing with the internationalization of naval academies in Europe and gender military studies.

Her work resulted in receiving the prestigious environmental award of the Internationalization Star in the Rising Star category – Rising Star of Internationalization in 2022. In 2021, she completed postgraduate studies in English, “Global Affairs and Diplomacy,” at the Academy of War Arts and the University of Buckingham.

She participated in many specialist courses, i.e.: “Terrorism, Counter-Terrorism and the Rule of the Law” in the Netherlands The Hague 2022 organized by the Asser Institute – Center for International European Law & ICCT – International Center for Counter-Terrorism – The Hague, “Cultural Property Protection Course” 2022 organized by the University of Applied Sciences Krems and “Gender perspective in security and defence” 2023 organized by Academia Militar Portugal.

Additionally, she is a graduate of many language courses, including those in St. Andrews University in Scotland, and International Language Centers EF Bristol.

She conducts research and teaching in the fields of women’s terrorism, women’s studies and security, gender studies and security, and CSDP and terrorism e.g. The Theresian Military Academy, University of Torino and The Spanish Naval Academy.

She conducts classes at Polish and foreign universities for both civilian and military students. Author and co-author of scientific articles.
