Dr. Kornela Oblińska – doctor in social sciences, specializing in: management in the information environment, retired Police Inspector, graduate of the Police Academy in Szczytno, the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Wrocław and the Foreign Policy Studies at PISM in Warsaw. In 2004-2005, on behalf of the UN and the EU, she participated in peacekeeping missions in the former Yugoslavia (Kosovo, FYROM). She supervised and coordinated the work of the Police in the creation of the Polish SIRENE Bureau and the accession of the Polish Police to the Schengen Area. An initiator of a number of initiatives in the field of shaping organizational culture in uniformed services, including activities aimed at eliminating inequalities. Former chairwoman of the team for equal opportunities strategy in the Police of the Chief Commander of the Police, Polish delegation in the European Network of Policewomen and vice-chairwoman of the Uniformed Services Team at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. The scientific interests: international and internal security, management in uniformed services (organizational culture, image and communication in organizations), equality policy. Author of many publications in these areas. Currently, an academic lecturer (University of Warsaw), Program Director of WIIS Poland (Women in International Security), expert at the Institute of Security and International Development (BiRM).
