Dr. Jian Junbo is associate professor and the Deputy Director of Center for China-Europe Relations at Fudan University. His research focuses on China’s diplomacy, European affairs and international politics. He is the author of the books (in Chinese) ‘Limitations of Power: On the Legitimacy of the United States in the Post-Cold War and ‘African Affairs and China-Europe Relations’. He is also the editor of ‘The Dilemma and Challenge of the EU’s Integration’ (in Chinese) and ‘The Enlarged European Union: Prospects and Implications’ (in English). He published more than 50 academic papers and over 100 press comment articles. He has visited Durham University, Université Libre de Bruxelles, Aalborg University and London School of Economics as a visiting scholar, and served as a Chinese diplomat in Europe in 2018-2020. His social title includes Under-Secretary General of Shanghai Institute for European Studies, Board member of Chinese Association for European Studies, etc.
