Florin Lobont holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of Bucharest, Romania, an MSt in Jewish Studies from the University of Oxford, UK, and PhDs in Philosophy from Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania and Wales University, Swansea, UK. He is Professor at the West University of Timisoara, Department of Philosophy and Communication Sciences, Fellow of Royal Holloway, University of London, UK, and CEO of Romanian Centre for Penitentiary Studies (West University of Timisoara). His fields of interest (teaching, research and publications) include: Philosophical Counselling, Philosophy of History, Radicalisation studies, Post-Holocaust Philosophy and Comparative genocide.
