
Barbara Lucini (Phd in Sociology and Methodology of Social Research) is a researcher at the Faculty of Humanities, Catholic University of Sacred Heart, Milan.
She is a fellow at Itstime – Italian Team for Security Terroristic issues and Managing Emergencies, Department of Sociology, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan.
She teaches Media Literacy and Digital Cultures at the Faculty of Humanities, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Milan.
She is co-director and lecturer for the Master’s Crisis & Disaster Management: Organisational Functions in Civil Protection, Security and Civil Defence, at the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy, Catholic University, Milan. Since 2023, she has been working with Medical Intelligence and coordinating the National Medical Intelligence Group at Socint – Itstime, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan. Her research interests are in the sociology of disasters, disaster resilience, disaster management, extremism, and radicalisation. Further, the issue of the relation between terrorism and resilience, as well as political extremism, has been studied.
