The Institute for National and International Security (INIS) congratulates Women in International Security Poland on the beginning of a new chapter in its development following an important leadership transition within the organization.
During a special meeting of the WIIS Poland community, members reflected on the organization’s achievements and officially expressed their gratitude to Aleksandra Gasztold, INIS Senior Research Fellow, who has served as Secretary General continuously since December 2021. She was recognized for her outstanding commitment, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to advancing WIIS Poland’s mission.
Professor Aleksandra Gasztold, INIS Senior Research Fellow, has played a significant role in the growth and development of WIIS Poland over the past several years, helping strengthen the organization’s position as an important platform for promoting women’s leadership and professional engagement in international security.
Although stepping down as Secretary General, Professor Aleksandra Gasztold will remain an active member of the WIIS Poland community, continuing to support its mission and future initiatives in a new capacity.
The meeting also marked the beginning of changes within the Executive Committee, with a new organizational structure expected to be introduced in the near future. Beyond organizational matters, the gathering brought together distinguished professionals committed to promoting equal opportunities for women in STEM, security, and international affairs. Participants exchanged ideas, discussed future initiatives, and reflected on the evolving opportunities and challenges facing the security sector.
