The active participation of INIS members in the Zagreb Security Forum (ZSF 2025) demonstrates the Institute’s expanding international impact in studying hybrid threats, strategic communication, and intelligence studies.

Representing INIS at this year’s Forum were:
Prof. Dr. Shlomo Shpiro (Israel), Prof. Dr. Rastislav Kazansky (Slovakia), Prof. Dr. Thomas Wegener Friis (Denmark), Prof. Dr. Rodica Ciobanu (Moldova), Prof. Dr. Mariana Roșca (Moldova), Prof. Dr. Omar Ashour (Qatar/UK), and Prof. Dr. Darko Trifunović (Serbia) — all of whom contributed through keynote lectures, scientific sessions, or strategic advisory roles.

Through their active engagement as speakers, moderators, and committee members, INIS experts continue to shape Europe’s academic and policy responses to the evolving spectrum of modern security challenges, including cognitive warfare, energy security, election interference, and democratic system resilience.

The Zagreb Security Forum serves as a unique bridge connecting academia, government institutions, and international security organizations, promoting transatlantic dialogue, scientific cooperation, and strategic foresight. INIS’s long-term collaboration with ZSF reaffirms its role as a key regional and global hub for security science and hybrid threat analysis.
