The Institute for National and International Security (INIS) has successfully concluded the intensive professional training program “Executive Certificate in Intelligence Operations”, held at INIS Headquarters in Belgrade on October 25, 2025. This high-level executive course brought together national security, defence, and intelligence professionals to enhance their practical knowledge and operational capabilities in intelligence planning, collection, analysis, and decision-making. Throughout the training, participants engaged in lectures, simulations, and analytical exercises designed to strengthen their understanding of the intelligence cycle, operational tradecraft, and modern analytical techniques — including HUMINT, SIGINT, OSINT, and IMINT methods.

The program was led by distinguished experts and senior fellows of INIS, including:
Prof. Dr. Darko Trifunović, Director of INIS
Brigadier General (Ret.) Miroljub Čupić, former Head of the Intelligence Directorate (J-2), General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces
Colonel (Ret.) Boško Zorić, former Acting Head of Training and Doctrine (J-7), General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces
Colonel (Ret.) Saša Stefanović, former Deputy Director of the Defence Inspectorate, Ministry of Defence

Their combined academic and operational experience provided a unique balance of theory and practice, enabling participants to explore the full spectrum of intelligence operations — from strategic analysis and counter-intelligence measures to psychological aspects of operative work and case-based problem solving. Upon completing all modules and evaluations, participants were awarded the INIS Executive Certificate in Intelligence Operations, recognizing their advanced competencies in intelligence analysis, operational planning, and applied security science. The program reaffirmed INIS’s role as a leading regional and international center for Security Science Education and Professional Development, promoting excellence in intelligence studies and fostering collaboration among practitioners, researchers, and policy experts.
