Prof. Dr. Rubén Arcos, Senior Research Fellow of the Institute for National and International Security (INIS) and Associate Professor in Communication Sciences, as well as Chair of the Intelligence Studies Section of the International Studies Association, recently delivered a course titled European Intelligence Analysis and Production in Practice at the prestigious College of Europe in Bruges.

The course brought together an outstanding group of students who had the opportunity to engage in the practical aspects of intelligence analysis and assessment of contemporary security challenges. This marked the third consecutive year Prof. Arcos has taught this subject, contributing to the education of future professionals in European intelligence studies.

The program was supported by academic assistant Dieter Bochar and organized in cooperation with the Department of EU International Relations and Diplomatic Studies at the College of Europe.

A special guest lecture was delivered by François Fischer from the Intelligence College in Europe, who shared valuable insights on European intelligence cooperation and the evolving security environment.

The course concluded with student briefings presenting intelligence assessments produced by teams using open-source intelligence (OSINT) to analyze ongoing events, developments, and emerging security threats.
