Participation at the International Scientific Conference in Shanghai In the period from March 1 to March 3, 2017, an international scientific conference was held, organized by the prestigious FUDAN University of Shanghai, the Shanghai Institute for European Studies and the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, titled “One Belt One Road: Assessing Security Risks and Resistance “(One Belt One Road – Security Risk Assesments and Resilience). At the conference, at the invitation of the organizer, with the introductory papers participated:
Vladimir Bozovic, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Aleksandar Vucic, Prof. Ivica Radović, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Security, University of Belgrade, Prof. Dr Zoran Dragišić, PhD, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Security, University of Belgrade, Dr. Darko Trifunović, Director of the Institute for National and International Security at the Faculty of Security. In addition to the leadership of the three academic institutions mentioned at the Conference, Chinese leaders also participated in leading Chinese scientists as well as high ranking political leaders of China.
During the Conference, the Dean of the Faculty of Security prof. Dr. Ivica Radovic signed two important cooperation agreements between the Faculty and the Shanghai Institute for European Studies, as well as the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. In a direct meeting of the security faculty delegation with the leadership of FUDAN University, cooperation was also agreed in the field of security of the “One Belt One Road” initiative. On this occasion, it was discussed about the possibilities of cooperation between FUDAN University and the University of Belgrade, including the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two leading academic institutions of the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Serbia.
At the final working meeting and during the formal dinner, a joint cooperation was agreed in the realization of future scientific projects relevant to the safety of the “One Belt One Road” initiative. Also, it was agreed to establish a joint center for coordinating activities regarding the mentioned initiative, which will be located at the Faculty of Security.
