Honoring Contributions to Gender-Based Violence Reduction in Pakistan

On November 17, 2024, Dr. Ayaz Khan, Chief Coordination Officer of KPCVE, had the honor of participating in the closing ceremony of the Training of Trainers (ToT) Workshop organized by the Islamic Research Institute (IRI) at Serena Hotel, Peshawar.

This five-day workshop, which ran from November 13-17, was part of IRI’s research project aimed at reducing gender-based violence in Pakistan by enhancing the capacity of the justice system. The project is being conducted in collaboration with the Asia Foundation, Pakistan, and brings together key stakeholders from across the legal and civil society sectors, including prosecutors, lawyers, and advocates.

As part of this important initiative, Dr. Khan’s presence at the closing ceremony underscored the significance of collaborative efforts in addressing social issues and promoting justice in Pakistan.
