Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Mladen Šarčević spoke today with the director of INIS Darko Trifunović, who was designated as Visiting Senior Researcher in the rank of associate professor by the prestigious Chinese University FUDAN.

Among the reasons for the appointment of Prof. Dr. Darko Trifunović as visiting senior researcher at FUDAN University are lectures and papers, but also several registered patents from the field of security. Prior to Trifunović, none of the professors or scientists from the region of Southeast Europe has claimed any innovation or patent from the field of security science.

Minister Šarčević has estimated that scientists and professors from Serbia have shown significant results worldwide in many areas, but that scientists from the field of social sciences must be further encouraged.

In addition, Trifunović was also appointed by the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences as Coordinator for South East Europe for the China + 17 Initiative.

I do not see this as only my success … I want to encourage other colleagues from the social sciences, especially younger ones, to write papers in journals in SCI and SSCI lists, accomplish international cooperation and work on multidisciplinary research, said Trifunović.
