The Institute for National and International Security (INIS) proudly co-organizes the 19th Annual International Scientific Conference “Security Forum 2026”, a distinguished academic gathering dedicated to contemporary security challenges and interdisciplinary research.

The conference will be held on April 22–23, 2026, at the Slovak National Uprising Museum in Banská Bystrica, Slovak Republic, bringing together leading scholars, researchers, and practitioners from across Europe and beyond.

The event is organized by the Department of Security Studies, Faculty of Political Science and International Relations, Matej Bel University, in cooperation with the civic association Interpolis and a wide network of international academic partners. Among them, the Institute for National and International Security (INIS) serves as a recognized co-organizer, contributing to the conference’s academic and institutional development.

As part of its ongoing mission to promote Security Science and strengthen international academic cooperation, INIS actively supports knowledge exchange, research collaboration, and dialogue among institutions engaged in security studies. Participation in Security Forum 2026 further reinforces the Institute’s position as a relevant and credible partner in the global academic security community.

The conference will address a broad spectrum of topics, including national and international security, geopolitical dynamics, crisis management, and emerging threats, providing a platform for interdisciplinary discussion and innovative approaches to security challenges.

Through its involvement in this important international event, INIS continues to expand its academic network and help shape contemporary security discourse at the European and global levels.
