Members of the INIS were guests on ceremony “Serbian day” in Ressidency of H.E. US ambassador in Serbia Kail Scott, National Assambly of Serbia and Archives of Serbia. Events on this topic was held on highest state level with presence of President Aleksandar Vucic, president of National Parlament ms Maja Gojkovic, MFA Ivica Dacic.

“Serbian day” was in event in the name of good serbian-american relation during the WWI when people of US gathered huge amounts of money and thousands of tons of humanitarian aid came to Serbian citizens from the United States, from the Rockefeller Foundation to individuals such as John Frontingham. There were also money for the nutrition of the civilian population, refugees, the fight against typhus, harvest seeds, agricultural tools, even the money for chartering a boat for the transport of refugees. A whole network of American citizens and Serbian immigrants participated in these merciful efforts.
