Athens, Greece — November 6–7, 2025

The Institute for National and International Security (INIS) is pleased to announce that Dr. John M. Nomikos, Director of the Research Institute for European and American Studies (RIEAS) and Senior Research Fellow of INIS, participated in the Sixth Meeting of the Partnership for Transatlantic Energy Cooperation (P-TEC), held on November 6–7, 2025, in Athens, Greece.

This high-level event brought together senior representatives from governments, international organizations, the energy sector, and academia to discuss key themes related to energy security, affordability, infrastructure modernization, and investment opportunities across the transatlantic community.

The conference was jointly organized by the U.S. Department of Energy, the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy, and the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center (USA).

Dr. Nomikos’s participation reflects his and RIEAS’s long-standing commitment to fostering transatlantic dialogue on strategic energy resilienceregional cooperation in Southeastern Europe, and the nexus between energy policy and security. His engagement at P-TEC underscores the growing importance of multi-stakeholder partnerships in addressing current and emerging energy challenges in an era of geopolitical uncertainty and technological transformation.
