The Institute for National and International Security – INIS invites interested candidates to apply for the nationally accredited program:
“Training on the Functioning of the National Security System”
The program is designed for anyone who wants to gain systematic, professional, and practice-oriented knowledge of how the national security system of the Republic of Serbia functions.

How does the national security system actually function?
Who makes key decisions?
How is information collected, processed, and assessed?
What are the roles and responsibilities of the Armed Forces, Police, and security and intelligence services?
How are contemporary security threats identified and assessed?
The program combines contemporary academic knowledge in Security Science with the practical experience of experts directly involved in state, military, police, security, and intelligence structures.
The training consists of 20 instructional sessions and is designed as an intensive program suitable also for working professionals.

MODULE I
Security Science and the National Security System
MODULE II
The Role and Position of the Armed Forces within the National Security System
MODULE III
The Role and Position of the Military Security Agency (VBA) and the Military Intelligence Agency (VOA) within the National Security System
MODULE IV
The Role and Position of the Security Intelligence Agency (BIA) within the National Security System
MODULE V
The Role and Position of the Police within the National Security System
The program combines lectures, expert presentations, seminars, case studies, and discussion panels, giving participants direct interaction with professors and experts with extensive academic and professional experience.
WHO IS THE PROGRAMME FOR?
The program is particularly intended for:
- professionals employed in the public and private sectors;
- members of the security and defense sectors;
- lawyers and managers;
- journalists and analysts;
- researchers;
- final-year university students and postgraduate students;
- candidates seeking to develop their professional careers in security, intelligence analysis, defense, policing, and strategic decision-making.
The objective of the program is not merely to convey facts, but to develop participants’ ability to understand the national security system, identify security problems, analyze available information, assess security phenomena, and formulate well-reasoned professional conclusions and assessments.
CERTIFICATE
Upon completion of the training program, participants take a written examination.
Candidates who successfully complete the program and pass the final examination receive a Certificate of Completion of the Training Program, containing all elements prescribed by the national accreditation.
