The conference was opened by the Minister of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia, Panče Toškovski, then the Rector of Sveti Kliment Ohridski University, prof. Dr. Igor Nedelkovski, then Prof. Dr. Jonce Ivanovski, dean of the Faculty of Security, Skopje, as well as the representative of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation Dr. Peter Hurrelbrink.
Prof. Dr. Darko Trifunovic was the first speaker at the Plenary session with an introductory lecture. At the same time, he was awarded the honorary Plaque of the Faculty of Security. The Faculty of Security from Skopje is the first, only and oldest faculty of security in SFRY.
Generations of security service officers graduated from this faculty and held the highest state positions in SFRY. Prof. Dr. Nikola Dujovski, former dean of the Faculty of Security, and Prof. Dr. Iskra Akimovska Maletic, also members of INIS, participated in the conference.
