Dr Vinay Kaura

Vinay Kaura is an Assistant Professor in the department of International Affairs and Security Studies, Sardar Patel University of Police, Security and Criminal Justice (a state university functioning under the Department of Home, Government of Rajasthan, India). Besides, he is the Deputy Director of University’s Centre for Peace & Conflict Studies. He is also a Non-Resident Scholar at the Middle East Institute, Washington, DC.

Vinay has written for a range of publications, including Foreign PolicySouth China Morning PostEast Asia ForumIndian ExpressThe HinduLivemintBusiness StandardEconomic TimesThe Print, and The Diplomat. He has contributed many research articles in reputed journals and chapters in many edited volumes, including the recent one titled “India’s Counter Terror Diplomacy: Strategy and Outcome”, in Harsh V. Pant (ed.), The Routledge Handbook of Indian Defence Policy: Themes, Structures and Doctrines, Routledge, 2020. His edited book titled India and United Nations in the 21st Century was published in 2021.
