Ph.D.Brigadier General (Res.) is a lecturer of Political Science in Bar-Ilan University, Israel. He has extensive and diverse experience in the military and public affairs arenas. He holds a B.A. in Middle East studies and Arabic from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, a teacher’s degree, an M.A. and a Ph.D. in political science. His research examines the Israeli intelligence Community during the years 1960 to 1980.
During his military career, Lapid was a senior officer in the Israel Defense Forces (I.D.F) Intelligence Corps, served as an I.D.F spokesperson, and was a senior instructor at the National Defense College. He was also the head of Israel Army Radio, GaleiZahal.
Association. Following his retirement from the army, Lapid has served in both the public and private sectors. He is the chairperson of the Israeli National Defence College(INDC) Alumni Association.
