Bakhytzhan Kurmanov acquired a consulting working in the United Nations Development Programme, Asian Development Bank, think tanks at the Ministry of National Economy and Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan. Bakhytzhan has recently successfully defended his doctoral thesis at the Graduate School of Public Policy at Nazarbayev University. Since then, he has published his scholarship in peer-reviewed journals such as Europe-Asia Studies and Eurasian Geography and Economics. Bakhytzhan is a young and aspiring scholar in the emerging field of public policy in the Central Asian region. Dr. Kurmanov’s research interests include but are not limited to Open Government, E-Government, Digital Governance, Public Sector Reform and Public Services Optimization in Transition countries, Regime Consolidation in the Authoritarian States.
