Dr Matijasević is ambassador at Large in the ministry foreign afers.
Born in Kostajnica 10.07.1968. in the SR Croatia. He finished elementary school in Kostajnica. Secondary school in Zagreb, Military Gymnasium took part in the period 1982-1986. in Zagreb. Afterwards, he attended the Military Technical College in Zagreb, 5 years and 1991, as a graduate engineer of traffic. He studied at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences of the University of Belgrade, in the period of three years and 2002, he received his Master's degree in technical sciences. He attended the master and specialist studies, the Ceris Institute Brussels, the Jean Monnet Faculty, the University of Paris XI, for a year. He received his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Economics, University of Alfa Belgrade for five years, and obtained the title of Doctor of Economic Sciences in 2012. He was a PhD at the Faculty of Security, University of Belgrade, for five years and received the Doctor of Science degree in Security. He attended more than 40 seminars, scientific meetings and specializations for a total of six years in the USA, EU, UK, NATO SHAPE School in Oberamergau Germany and Marshall Center in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.He worked as an officer of the Army of Republika Srpska and the Yugoslav Army in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is a participant in war and combat operations. He performed the duties of the commander of waters, police, infantry companies, logistics companies, was the commander of an independent mixed battalion in the combat operations. He also found himself in several command positions in the tactical and operational units of the Army of Republika Srpska. During 1996, he became commander of military schools of the Republic of Srpska Army, where he lectures on the subject of leadership and command. During 1997, he became Assistant to the Chief of General Staff of the Army of the Republic of Srpska (Head of the Traffic Administration). For the period of participation in the war, he was wounded once, twice was decorated and four times extraordinary. In the period 1998-2000 he served as the Head of the Cabinet of the Minister of Defense of the Republika Srpska, General Manojlo Milovanovic. In the period 2000-2004. He serves as the Head of the Military Delegation of BiH to NATO and the EU in Brussels. The military service was interrupted in 2004 in the rank of Colonel. In the period from 2004-2006. He is acting as Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska. From 2006-2007. He is the Special Advisor to the President of the Republic of Srpska for International Relations. From 2008-2014. is the President of the Holding Corporation Komgrap Beograd, and the company ZGOP Novi Sad and DOEL Skopje, the area of construction, civil engineering, construction and maintenance of railways. Since 2014, he became Senior Special Advisor at LB Capital LTD, London, Investment Banking in the Field of Energy, Oil and Gas Specialty, with jobs in the EU, Russia, China, Africa and the United States. Since 2016 he has been ambassador at large to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, with a portfolio organized crime and corruption and other issues and according to the decisions of the Presidency of BiH. He is the author of four books, geopolitics and strategic management, co-author of a book, police and interior affairs, as well as several dozen scientific papers in the field of security, governance, politics and geopolitics. Within the framework of the Scientific and Expert Center of the Center is the Editor and Reviewer. She speaks English and French. He lives in Banja Luka and Belgrade, married and has two children.
