Dattesh D. Parulekar (Ph.D), is Assistant Professor of International Relations and Strategic Studies, at the Department of International Relations, at Goa University, Goa, INDIA. With close to a decade of pedagogy and research experience, his areas of specialization, encompass, India’s Foreign Policy and Diplomacy, Chinese Political Economy, Sino-Indian Dynamic in the Indo-Pacific, Strategic Maritime Affairs, and Peace and Conflict Studies, etc.

He completed his Doctoral Research, in the domain of Conflict Management and Resolution, under a Fulbright Fellowship, at the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins University, Washington DC, USA. He is a Visiting Faculty, at most academic institutions, in defense and strategic studies, in India, viz., the Naval War College (NWC), the Defense Services Staff College (DSSC), the Army War College (AWC), the College of Defense Management (CDM), the College of Air Warfare (CAW), etc. Notwithstanding, he is academically associated, with myriad Public and Private Universities, Think-Tanks and Policy Institutes, across the globe, most notably in South Asia, Asia-Pacific, Europe and Latin America. He is a Member of the Academic Council, governing the seminal ‘India Studies Program’, at the State University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is also involved with the National Foreign Affairs Dept., of the ruling BJP party in India, assigned with participating in Track-II dialogue initiatives and articulating and explaining the contours of Prime Minister Modi’s foreign policy and diplomatic outreach. He is an integral Member of policy think-tanks in India, such as the Forum for Integrated National Security (FINS), New Delhi, and India Foundation, New Delhi.
