The delegation of the Faculty of Security was received on 23 May 2017 on a working visit by the United States Embassy at the invitation of His Excellency, Mr. Kyle Scott, US Ambassador to Serbia. Delegation, except prof. Dr. Ivica Radović, Dean, prof. Dr. Zoran Dragišić, vice-dean and Dr Darko Trifunovic, Senior Research Fellow and Director of the Institute for National and International Security, PhD, also consisted of students from the Faculty of Security, led by student Jovan Prvulović, president of the Association of Students of the Faculty of Security.
During the visit, students and professors were introduced to familiarize themselves with the work and activities of the US Embassy in Serbia, as well as with the work of specialized services such as USAID Serbia and the Assistance Program, assistance to the Serbian judiciary and the police.
During the reception, the students first addressed Mr. Kurt Doneli, Deputy Ambassador, and then Mr. Mark Van Balen, ICITAP Advisor (International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program), as well as Mr. Aleks Gejner, Director of USAID Serbia and Brian Martin from The Embassy Political Department.
At the end of the visit, with the students, in a long, direct and cordial conversation, HJ.E. Ambassador Kyle Scott, who talked about current political and geopolitical trends. As always, the most interesting part of the visit was the questions and answers, whereby students and professors were given the opportunity to get in touch with Ambassador Scat in answering even the most sensitive issues related to US relations with Russia, China, and Kosovo and Metohija.
